David Wolfenson

Guitarist/singer/songwriter David Wolfenson kicked off his recording career in the mid-'80s with a single for the small Minneapolis label Bamboo America, "Too Much Stress" b/w "Mountainland," recorded under the name David Yale. No further interest ensued, however, and Wolfenson moved to New York to work on his songwriting. He returned to Minneapolis upon reading a favorable review of his demo tape and played club dates, which led to a record contract and the release of his debut album, Abbott Avenue, in 1994.
